The racial-ethnic identity plays a vital role in being able to identify an individual’s self-identity. ethnic-racial develops stages according our developmental stages. A study on specific play choices of dolls revealed that infants had developed their ERI from very young age. Besides, during early childhood, parents important the development by intuitively conveying native ethnocentric cultural norms, beliefs, and traditions children for inherent value. Moving forward middle childhood stage, develop literal understanding ethnicity/race more complicated which they think about labels more, have complex knowledge preferences, participate activities, grasp consequences behaviors ERI. Adolescents become conscious social group membership as result dynamic interactions with increasing environment, Erikson. Lastly, transitioning adolescence adulthood can bring enhanced contextual shifts identity-relevant events.
